Tome of Magic
Mana is an unpredictable force. No one knows exactly why magic is universal though the elven magi said that, as the world was created by a magical force, magic would exist in it universally.
Magic comes in different forms and can be harnessed by any being in many different ways. The 2 types of magic energy are from the world and from an artifact. A person's mana capacity is its ability to absorb/use mana from the surrounding or draw out magic from an artifact before tiring out. Certain materials and weapons can help the person draw magic better, though it would require to be extremely powerful in order for the person to have unlimited mana.
Every being that is from this world would have a natural ability to use mana, though it requires extensive training to wield magic properly. Though magic would immediately refer to magicians, other classes are able to use magic, though their mana capacity would be greatly lower than mages.
Casted magic is split into different forms. This include: Medium casting, Conjuring and Unleashing.
Medium casting is the most common form of magic. It involves placing mana into a medium, such as a sword or an arrow and unleashing the mana onto the target. If the mana in the medium is high enough, the mana would turn into a form around the medium. Usually, the form would not have any purpose other than identifying what skill it is, though the form could also turn into some sort of elemental form, dealing extra elemental damage.
Conjuring is also widely used by all classes. Examples include conjuring meteors to arrow rains. This form of magic turns the mana in the surrounding into a shape (Eg. Meteor). Summoning creatures to do your bidding is also a form of conjuring magic.
Unleashing is one of the least used magic and one of the most dangerous. Only the magi 2nd class and above have been able to master this form of magic without hurting themselves. The warriors are also able to do this kind of magic, though it would regularly have some negative side effect. The magicks of unleashing is very simple, simply condense the mana into a concentrated form and unleashing it, either into raw magical force or into some sort of healing.
